Song of the day (No. 100): I Go Away – MNDR

MNDR was one of the opening acts for Chromeo this weekend, alongside Young Empires – Toronto’s latest ones to be making tidal waves.

She’s young, she’s blonde, she’s got edgy style and an incredible voice. What’s not to love? I actually kind of have a girl crush on her. Completely innocent but one for the books. She stood her own when I saw her perform on Saturday night – literally. She was the only one on stage during her set. She’s the musical prodigy of Mark Ronson and toured with him and The Business Intl last year. I surmise that 2011 will be a big year for Miss Amanda Warner, especially as she kicked it off touring with Chromeo. No big deal.

Be prepared for ‘I Go Away’ to stir up some emotions. It’s downtempo compared to her other tracks but a slow pace suits her nicely. Happy Tuesday and happy 100th song of the day! xo
